Important information

How to send work for printing.

Most customers send their files attached to email. The ideal format is a pdf file. If you are using any special fonts please make sure that they are embedded in the file. Alternatively you can always send me the font file (subject to any copyright restrictions). Other formats are very welcome. We currently use the following software and are able to receive items in any of these: Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word, Open Office. Again if you are using any special fonts please either make sure that they are embedded in the file or you send me the font file(s).

For two colour black and green printing please ask about the best way to present your files to get the best quality output.

VAT and Printing

Most leflets and booklets are zero rated for VAT. However Vat has to be charged at the standard rate (currently 20%) on:

Posters,

Questionnaires,

Petition forms,

Ballot Papers,

Lottery tickets,

Leaflets which include any of the above that cover a total of 25% or more of the leaflet's surface area.

There are many other exceptions, but these cover the majority of cases. For full details please refer to HM Revenue & Customs notice 701/10
